Rob Birmingham is a licensed cost engineer (Chartered Quantity Surveyor). Raised in Ireland, Rob worked in both in London and Germany before arriving in the US in 1987.

Rob was a Senior Project Manager and chief estimator for large union companies in Napa Valley and the East Bay before starting Birmingham Builders, Inc. in 1992. He served on the first Seismic Appeals Board for the City of San Francisco, starting in 1995. Birmingham Builders specialized in urban commercial seismic upgrades and has completed over 100 upgrades in the Bay Area.

In 2000, Rob founded Birmingham Development, LLC.

We are old school; we strip a building down to its foundational structure and meticulously build it back up to meet current building codes. What also makes us different is the fact that we purchase, rebuild and maintain all of our buildings to the highest standards.
